
Dan Hostetler
Chief of Behavioral Health
Dan Hostetler serves as Chief of Behavioral Health at LifeHouse Behavioral Health. He has an extensive 20-year background in the field of treatment and services for individuals with substance use disorders, having most recently authored and assembled most of the therapeutic programs at Above and Beyond, an outpatient substance misuse treatment center on the west side of Chicago. Hostetler’s responsibilities at LifeHouse Behavioral Health combine his clinical expertise with his organizational management skills to develop and implement effective interventions, policies and procedures for employees, clients, and patients. His role encompasses hiring and training staff and conducting regular clinical program evaluations to measure effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring that our clients and patients receive the best possible care.
Hostetler shares LifeHouse Group’s commitment to a compassionate and holistic approach to addiction treatment, emphasizing a creative, individual regimen for each client or patient. He focuses on Behavioral Harm Reduction during the treatment process, using rewards rather than punishments to motivate patients to complete their programs and rejoin society as useful members. Hostetler holds a Masters in Nonprofit Management from North Park University and a Diplomate in Logotherapy after attending the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy, where he is also the President of the Board. He has earned a number of clinical certifications and licenses in the field of substance misuse treatment and behavioral health practices, including CODP I and CADC.
