Wylie Harris

Clinical Supervisor

Wylie’s job duties as clinical supervisor include a wide range of responsibilities. He supervises all members of the behavioral health team. He also coordinates the day-to-day operations of the center and its services. He conducts regular case conferences with staff and interns to be apprised of clients’ progress and challenges and to make recommendations. He coordinates the assignment of cases, conducts staff meetings, schedules staff to provide coverage for the center, and evaluates work performance. Wylie considers empathy to be the most important quality he brings to his role. He believes in leading by example and would never ask anyone to do something he isn’t willing to do himself. He is adamant that to work successfully with people struggling with substance use disorders, one must be open-minded and be willing to use a collaborative approach to problem solving. He wants any potential, current, or former client to know that he will meet you where you are rather than where someone who is not you thinks you should be. Wylie started his career as a security guard for Haymarket Center and then went back to school, eventually obtaining a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from National Louis University. Previously, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Behavioral Science and also holds a CADC certification.
